Our fundraising goal of $362,000 was to match the money the District of Squamish has set committed for this centre.

Background
The new Seniors’ Activity Centre in the Rockcliff building, now under construction, has 10,000 square feet on the main floor. The Rockcliff building is located behind Save-On-Foods. To date, the value of this complex based on contributions made by the developer and furnishing and upgrades paid for by the District of Squamish is just under $3,000,000.

The doors are scheduled to open in the Spring of 2009 and a fundraising drive for an additional $362,000 worth of furnishings and features to be part of the complex is underway.

Corporate Donors
Founding Business or Corporate suppliers who want to be associated with the Seniors’ Activity Centre. The cost to participate is between $3,000 to $5,000.

Groups like travel companies, medical providers such as drug stores, service groups like law groups for wills, funeral service and other recognizable groups will provide their information at the centre.

Founding Family Patrons
This fully tax-receiptable contribution will ensure that you and your family will be one of the key 100 founding families of this complex.

Families who donate $1,000 or more will have their family name recognized as a founding patron with a laser-etched stone plaque displayed on the Founding Patrons Donor Wall at the Senior complex.

Awareness Funding
Awareness funding will allow broader participation. Awareness funding includes sales of $10.00 a square foot, events such as Seniors’ only calendars, group fundraising activities, and auction and garage sales.
